With Barrington Honor Ride & Run

Barrington, Illinois, August 4, 2016 — The Sheridan Road Charitable Foundation continues its generous support of local charitable organizations through a sponsorship and creation of the Sheridan Road Racing Team on behalf of the Barrington Honor Ride & Run which will be held Sunday, August 14, 2016.

The Barrington Honor Ride & Run is part of a national collaboration with Ride 2 Recovery, an organization that supports physical and psychological programs for injured veterans. Cyclists can choose between 20, 30, and 50 mile courses, while runners have the option of a 5K or a 10K. The event also caters to the entire family by including a 1 mile fun run and a kids’ 1 mile bike ride. Participants will enjoy a post-race festival complete with live music and food.

The Sheridan Road Racing Team, comprised of friends and family of the Sheridan Road Charitable Foundation, can be seen at the event sporting green and white Sheridan Road jerseys. Team members have expressed excitement for the coming race and the important work done by Honor Rides across the country. “We have long supported our veterans and believe that there are few things more important than helping those who have served our country to transition to civilian life on their own terms,” said Daniel Bryant, captain of the Sheridan Road Racing Team. The Foundation will also have a number of volunteers assisting with all facets of the race.
